According to details, JUI has formally told PTI's negotiating committee head Pervez Khattak that it would be willing to end its sit-in if Ali Amin Gandapur defeats JUI's candidate again on NA-38,Dera Ismail Khan.
"Ask Ali Amin Gandapur to resign from his seat and we'll contest the election on NA-38. If he wins again, we'll apologise for our agitation and end the sit-in. But if he loses, Imran Khan will have to resign", JUI-F's senior leader, and Maulana Fazalur Rahman's brother, Maulana Lutfur Rahman told Khattak.
Gandapur had repeatedly challenged JUI-F chief Maulana Fazalur Rahman to a re-election on NA-38. On Friday, he made the same proposal again on the floor of the National Assembly.
Responding to his challenge, Maulana Fazalur Rahman's son Asad Mahmood accepted the challenge on JUI-F's behalf and urged Gandapur to resign from the seat.
On Sunday, a formal proposal was made during the negotiations to decide the fate of the sit-in on Gandapur's seat. PTI, however, hasn't responded to the proposal as yet.
