He made these remarks during a hearing at a court in Lahore where he had come for his bail application. The leader of the opposition in National Assembly said that he was treated 'inappropriately' by the FIA's investigative team, adding that the officers who conducted the interrogation used to initiate pointless conversations. He further said that upon being asked by him as to why they were doing it, the officers would laugh and make fun of him.
Further, Shehbaz said to the court that he and his family faced loss of billions of rupees while operating the Ramzan sugar mills. He stated that he was committed to providing the commodity to the public at cheap prices.
The PML-N leader then told the court that he has already answered accusations of taking commissions for projects.
Geo reported that the FIA rejected Shehbaz Sharif's allegations of harassment and said that he was treated with respect.
