British Prime Minister Boris Johnson made a gaffe while speaking in the Parliament when he confused the ongoing farmers’ protest in India with a conflict between Pakistan and India.

Sikh Labour MP Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi posed a question and asked the PM what he thinks about the Indian government’s use of brute force against the protesting farmers, but he did not seem to be aware of the issue.

Responding to the Sikh MP’s question, he said: “Our view is that of course we have serious concerns about what is happening between India and Pakistan but these are pre-eminently matters for those two governments to settle.”

Farmers in India have been protesting at Delhi’s borders for 15 days now. The Indian Express reported that at least seven farmers have lost their lives; four in accidents and three of natural cause.
