Justice Qazi Faez Isa’s wife, Sarina Isa, on Thursday appeared before Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to submit a detailed reply on her money trail and the foreign properties she bought in London.

Earlier, FBR office of Commissioner Inland Revenue and International Taxes Zone, while complying with the order of the Supreme Court (SC), have served notices to Sarina Isa, her daughter Sehar Isa, and her son Arsalan Isa last week.
Last week, FBR's authorities had officially relocated the jurisdiction of tax office for Justice Isa's wife from Karachi’s Regional Taxpayer Office (RTO-III) to Islamabad, where Sarina could better respond to tax officers' queries by explaining the source of funds for acquiring offshore properties.
“Zulfiqar Ahmed, an IRS officer of BS-20, has been given this task by FBR top authorities to probe the case,” The News quoted a source as saying. Zulfiqar had served mostly in Karachi where Sarina Isa used to file her returns for over a decade. Justice Isa’s wife had told the apex court during the proceedings of this case that her tax office Karachi was changed without her consent by FBR authorities years back.
Last month, Supreme Court (SC) had dismissed the presidential reference against Justice Isa after declaring it ‘invalid’ while accepting the petitioner’s pleas. Moreover, SC gave three months to FBR for completion of report pertaining to Sarina Isa's offshore properties and submit its final report with Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP).
