Kapil Dev, a Hindu human rights activist, was grateful to the ‘progressive’ citizens of Islamabad for protesting in support of the temple. He said that Pakistan has once again given the Hindus a hope that they won't be left alone and ignored in this fight for their rights. “Today mainstream political parties rallied behind minorities in NA & progressive citizens of Islamabad staged a protest demanding temple in the town,” he added.

On Tuesday, a bench of Islamabad High Court (IHC) rejected the plea seeking a stay order against the construction of Hindu temple in Sector H-9 of Islamabad.
The court remarked that minorities' rights were protected in the constitution. The court, however, directed the concerned authorities to submit a report explaining whether the temple was part of the CDA's master plan or not.
