Geo News reports that the two "friends" worked at a local non-governmental organization (NGO) where they were involved in a dispute. Later, one of the two women went to the other's house and threw acid at her.
The survivor of the acid attack was immediately shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta for medical attention.
According to Geo News, officers at the Gawalmandi police station said they had taken the suspect into custody and would conduct an investigation.
Acid attacks have been prevalent in Pakistan for quite a while and the majority of such incidents occur over domestic disputes.
