Showing displeasure regarding the minister’s attitude towards the important issue pertaining to employment quota in the country, the committee recommended that a letter on the issue should be written to the Senate chairman so that a stern action against the minister could be initiated.
The panel also took serious notice of the absence of the relevant secretary and decided to move a privilege motion against them.
The Committee asserted that the agenda of the meeting related to rights of less-developed and smaller provinces, which, if ignored, will breed and increase grievances.
The committee chairman, Senator Muhammad Tahir Bizenjo, said all parties were on the same page regarding the meeting agenda that pertained to the introduction and passage of constitutional amendment in either House of Parliament for employment quota. The committee stressed the need for passage of the bill at the earliest.
