KP Hospital To Probe Death Of 6 Covid Patients Due To Lack Of Oxygen On Its Own

The death of six Covid-19 patients in ICU and isolation units of the Khyber Teaching Hospital in Peshawar due to non-availability of oxygen will be probed internally by the hospital itself. The provincial government has asked the hospital board to probe the matter.
Three women were among the patients who breathed their last on Sunday morning for want of oxygen.

The incident has generated outrage on social media with people questioning the state of healthcare system in KP.

It is also being said that the hospital administration should not have been asked to look into the matter on its own because the inquiry will not be independent if it is conducted by those responsible for the criminal negligence.
