A report in Dawn stated that the London Bridge attacker’s body was brought from Islamabad to Kijlani village in Kotli by his family. Khan’s funeral took place at 4pm and he was buried in a local graveyard.
Usman Khan’s family members refused to talk to media. They had earlier issued a statement in which they stated that they were shocked and saddened by the atrocity and that they condemned their son’s actions.
Pakistan International Airlines’ General Manager Public Relations Abdul Hafeez told media that Usman Khan’s body was shifted to Islamabad from London via a PIA flight.
Usman Khan’s relatives brought his body to Kotli as they did not want to bury him in the United Kingdom.
Meanwhile, the Foreign Office spokesperson did not confirm whether Usman Khan’s body was in Pakistan.
A journalist stated on Twitter that Usman Khan’s funeral was attended by family and relatives.

People also took to social media to point out that the Pakistani government had earlier tried to cover up the fact that Usman Khan was a Pakistani. Journalist Ahmed Quraishi asked on Twitter why a foreign-born terrorist was allowed a burial in Pakistan.
