PPP parliamentary leader in Punjab Assembly Syed Hassan Murtaza said instead of holding the Punjab CM accountable over alleged mega corruption and misuse of authority, the bureau was presenting him as 'liquor seller'.
“Usman Buzdar is a puppet and the most corrupt chief minister, but levelling the allegation of selling alcohol against him is condemnable,” he added.
He also demanded that the CM be held accountable for sugar mills subsidy and 'missing' wheat.
Earlier, the accountability watchdog summoned Buzdar on Aug 12 for allegedly issuing liquor licence to a hotel by abusing his powers as the chief executive of the province.
According to the Geo News, the Punjab CM was facing allegations of using influence to issue the liquor licence to a hotel even though the authority of the issuance of the licences lied with the Excise and Taxation Director General.
