A recently released book on the queen’s life has revealed unknown facts about her, with one particularly surprising revelation that she does her own makeup.
According to the book, 'The Other Side of the Coin: The Queen, the Dresser and the Wardrobe', written by Angela Kelly, the Queen always applies makeup without any artist’s assistance except for one occasion.
The only time the queen hired a professional makeup artist is when she has to record her yearly Christmas speech. The artist that is given the task on that day is Marilyn Widdess.

As for Meghan Markle, she took help from a friend on her wedding day. Her friends say that she self-services when it comes to applying makeup. “Except for her wedding, she does all her own makeup. Dresses herself, styles herself,” Martin stated in an interview.
