Remembering Aitzaz Hasan: Boy who sacrificed his own life to save thousands

Aitzaz Hasan, a 15-year-old from Hangu, set example of selflessness and courage on this day in 2014 when he stopped a suicide bomber from attacking his school. The young boy lost his life in the process but he saved thousands of others including children, faculty members and other staff.

His father, Mujahid Ali Bangash, described his sorrow in such words: "My son made his mother cry, but he saved thousands of mothers from crying."

People on Twitter are paying tribute to Aitzaz on occasion of his 5th death anniversary.

Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry paid tribute to Aitzaz while he also said that a telefilm will be broadcasted by state-owned PTV to pay homage to him.
