Minister of State for Climate Change Zartaj Gul has boycotted Kashmir Day function at Presidency in protest against not getting a seat in the front row.
Zartaj Gul arrived 35 minutes late at the function, where President Arif Ali was the chief guest, according to a report in The News. She expressed displeasure over unavailability of a seat for herself in the first row for arriving late. She kept shouting at protocol officers present at the Presidency that why a seat was not reserved for her in the front row as she was a ‘federal minister'.
The protocol staff of Presidency clarified that the minister came late due to which they could not accommodate her in the front row.
Update: The minister has taken to Twitter to deny the news saying that she was not in Islamabad the day of the event.
