The protesters have rejected the claims of both India and Pakistan that they were working for the other side.
Journalist Asad Hashim shared JKLF’s statement regarding allegations from both India and Pakistan. He quoted the group, "We reject both the notions, of India that we are doing this march on the behest of Pakistan and, of Pakistan that we are playing at the hands of India."
Moreover, the group stated that the protest was their own indigenous initiative and that they did not need a certificate from either India or Pakistan. “We are not agents of either countries but of Kashmiri Nation,” they stated.

Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan had requested the residents of Azad Jammu and Kashmir to not cross the Line of Control to support the struggle in Indian occupied Kashmir.
In a tweet, the prime minister had stated that he understood the ‘anguish’ of Kashmiris in AJK and their attempt to cross LoC would support the Indian narrative which tried to divert attention from Indian atrocities by labelling the indigenous struggle as ‘Islamic terrorism’ supported by Pakistan.
He added that the move would be detrimental for Kashmiris as it would give India an excuse to increase violent oppression of Kashmiris.

The prime minister’s request comes a day after thousands of Kashmiris carried out rallies in AJK on the request of the JKLF to show solidarity with Kashmirs in IOK.
