Muhammad Imran was a student at a local Madrassa. His father Ghulam Muhammad Ali Zai said, “He went missing instantly after taking holiday from Madrassa. After 24 hours of search his tortured body was found at the nearest mountain of kili Passheher in Qalat. Police surgeon Dr Ayesha said the medical reports indicate that minor boy was raped by more than one man. She also confirmed the tortured spot on his body and head.
Police have lodged an FIR and 10 suspects have been arrested so far.
Police officials in a press conference assured the victim’s family and public that police were investigating all the aspect of the unfortunate incident. The police assured that the culprits would be arrested within two days.
Fareed Shehwani , the regional coordinator of Human Rights Commission of Pakistan’s Baluchistan chapter said that this is the sixth such case reported in the last two months.
He said the total registered cases of child abuse in Baluchistan in 2020 are 17.
He also expressed concerns over the increasing cases of child rape and added that the trend of child rapes in the province is alarming.
He added that from class four to class nine, awareness sessions about the issue must be organised both in home and in school.
