Ali Muhammad Khan shared the poster on Twitter, praying to Allah to bring back the ‘golden era of Muslims’. He prayed for the return of third caliph Hazrat Umar’s regime and for intellectual collective conscious among Muslims. The said tweet was later deleted, however, the caption of the poster was shared again by the minister.
The poster also featured Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Maj Gen Babar Iftikhar, Special Advisor to Prime Minister on Information Lt Gen (R) Asim Bajwa, Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives Asad Umar, Minister of State for Safron & Narcotics Control Shehryar Afridi, and Minister for Communications Muraad Saeed.

Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan had announced that the Turkish show Ertugrul would be broadcasted on state-owned channel Pakistan Television Corporation from the beginning of Ramzan. The then special advisor to the prime minister (SAPM) on information Firdous Ashiq Awan had said that the government took the initiative as the premier wanted to protect Muslims’ social values and religious norms. The poster shared by the minister seems to have been inspired by a similar show.
