"Pakistan will not hesitate to use its nuclear arsenal if it felt it is losing out against India in a conventional war,” Amarinder Singh said. He was also asked about the ‘terrorist deaths’ in Balakot attack but he refused to comment.

Instead he said that it did not matter how many were killed, the message has been sent. “It does not matter whether 1 person died or 100, the message has been sent loud and clear that India will not allow sacrifices of innocent soldiers and civilians go waste.”
He said that a nuclear war was not in favour of either of the countries but ‘Islamabad would not hesitate’ to turn to nuclear strikes if it was losing battles on other ends. Amarinder added that Pakistan could not afford war with India because the country was economically weak.

“Pakistan’s economy does not allow it to go to war with India. The neighbouring country has a begging bowl which is being filled by other Islamic nations,” he said.
Tensions between Pakistan and India are high since the Pulwama Attack. Last week on Tuesday, Indian Air Force jets intruded into Pakistan’s territory and dropped payload near Balakot.
On Wednesday, two Indian jets entered Pakistan’s airspace again but were shot down by the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) jets. Indian Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman was arrested who was released on Friday as peace gesture.

Indian forces have also resorted to unprovoked firing along the Line of Control (LOC) resulting in deaths of civilians and security officials.
