Meanwhile, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed held negotiations with the protestors after his arrival in Quetta. During the negotiations he told them that the government has agreed to accept all of their demands except the one seeking the resignation of the provincial government. The minister has further urged the protestors to call of their protests and bury the dead.
However, the Hazara community did not call off the protest and despite extremely harsh weather the mourners, including women and children, have refused to leave the western bypass area.
11 coal miners from the Hazara community were kidnapped by armed militants and then shot dead on Sunday.
