He had earlier filed an application seeking review of the high court's November 23 judgement, demanding clarification as to whether it has prevented any court from deciding the matter of custody of the child.
Arzoo Raja is currently living in a shelter home after the court's decision, but her father had been seeking her custody. The SHC bench disposed of the review petition after observing that he may approach a family court and if it does not hear the application on the grounds of SHC order, the high court may be approached again which will address his grievance under the law.
Earlier this month, the Sindh High Court had directed the police to recover 13-year-old Christian girl Arzoo Raja who was allegedly abducted and married to a 44 year old man after being to forcibly converted to Islam. The court had also directed the police to shift Arzoo to a shelter home, where she is presently residing.
