Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations Lahore Rai Babar Saeed said that First Information Report (FIR) was promptly registered against the accused at Iqbal Town police station. According to the FIR, the child was passing by a dog in the park when it suddenly attacked him. It noted that the dog has bitten the child in a public place, so its owner, Imran Raees, has committed a crime.
However, the parents of the victim have refused to take legal action against the accused. The FIR was registered on the directions of the DIG. The accused is currently in police’s custody. Imran Raees said this was the first time that his pet dog has attacked someone. He said that he used to regularly take the dog to market and park, but this kind of incident never happened before.
On Wednesday, a video went viral on social media in which a pet dog can be seen barking at an innocent balloon seller. The video was captured after the biting incident.
