Popular Pashto singer Karan Khan prepared four vocal and one instrumental songs for his favourite Peshawar Zalmi Team. Moreover, some other prominent singers have launched their tracks on YouTube and other social media platforms.
Occasional singer Saeed Khan, aged 32 is a differently-abled person, who graduated from University of Peshawar. Saeed during his birth time, had fallen from nurse hands and since then he has never stood on feet. Although, without assistance he even can’t push his wheelchair, but recently the courageous and passionate singer sang special songs on Defense Day and World Disability Day, that got him immense attention.
Saeed Khan, while talking to Arab News in Peshawar said, that he didn’t get any formal education of music but he still loves singing. “I am not in position to pay for my passion but my well-wishers sponsor my songs recording and outdoor shootings” the singer said. He added that his father lost his business, in a result of suicide attack in 2008.
Saeed also plays cricket while sitting in wheelchair and his favorite player is Shahid Afridi. He composes his own poetry, and meaningfully moves his hands and body parts while singing it. His new track is about PSL and he wishes that his new song would reach to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) or any franchise, so that it could own it.
Another known Pashto singer and PhD scholar Karan Khan is happy for peace and comeback of cricket in Pakistan. “For larger audiences and better understanding, I have sung this track both in Pashto and Urdu language” Karan told Arab News in his studio at Peshawar. The singer further said that he was from Swat but he supports Peshawar Zalmi as the city has given him a lot, including art of singing, popularity, education.
