'Most vicious delivery he's bowled since that yorker to Lara': Waqar reverses it in to Sethi

Former Pakistan pacer Waqar Younus has gone all guns blazing at ex-Pakistan Cricket Board chief Najam Sethi. Younus took to Twitter and commented on Sethi’s recent interview with Samaa in which the former chief talked about lobbying in cricket and said Waqar did not perform up to the mark as Pakistan’s coach.

“Safaarshii tola ??? Look who’s talking.. kamal karta ho aap be @najamsethi sb.. kuch be bolta rahta ho #Dabang of PCB. Your days in cricket are well over dear.. stick to your dirty politics” is what the former pacer said.

What Najam Sethi said

The former PCB chief was talking to Samaa in an interview, a clip of which was quote tweeted by Younus. In the video, Sethi revealed that lobbying existed in cricket. Groups were made on basis of cities or interests. “It is an unfortunate reality and we can not deny it”.

Sethi also said that former cricketer Mohsin Hasan Khan approached him when he became the chief and requested him to make Khan the national selector or coach. “I talked to people regarding Mohsin Khan, and almost everyone said it was not a good idea.” Terming both Waqar and Mohsin as ‘Sifarshi Tola’, Sethi said Waqar was given a chance but his performance was not something to be proud of.

“I was the one who brought Waqar, but instead he turned against me and I still don’t know why,” Sethi said.

Sethi’s statements have not impressed Waqar Younas, but Younas’ tweet has brought about a wave of criticism too for his choice of words. Others have took the ex-pacer’s tweet on a lighter note.
