24 News had started to disappear in many areas of Pakistan on March 31, a day after Najam Sethi made claims that Prime Minister Imran Khan and wife Bushra Bibi had 'a verbal spat and were all ready to part ways'.
Naya Daur reached out to a representative of the cable operators association who, on condition of anonymity, said that 24 News was only ordered to be taken down in the cantonment area, but cable operators all across the city took it off-air due to 'fear' of losing contracts.
Social Media users believe that the channel went off-air because journalist Najam Sethi was 'critical of the PTI government and its policies'.

Twitter user Saad Farukh said that the channel was off-air in Bahawalpur. 'How low is this country going to fall?' he questioned.

Pakistan Media Watch said the channel has been shut in many areas of Lahore.
"Information Minister Fawad Chaudhary had subtly criticized the channel in a tweet yesterday over two shows by Najam Sethi in which he talked about Imran Khan’s threat to resign and his alleged tow with the 3rd wife," PMW added.

Sethi on Thursday claimed that marital relationship of Prime Minister Imran Khan and wife Bushra Bibi was going through a shaky phase.
In a talk-show on 24 News, Sethi said that his Chiria (source) told him that PM Imran Khan and wife Bushra’s marital relationship was in turmoil and the two were ready to part ways before friends and family from both sides intervened and buried the hatchet.
A few days later, the two again engaged in a verbal spat, claimed Sethi, telling the anchorperson that “you can understand well now that you are married yourself. You know well that if there is no love and peace between a couple, these problems can occur.”
