Talking to Aaj TV, Dr Mirza said the rainy weather can indeed help decrease the number of coronavirus in Pakistan, but added that it is too early to predict that at this point.

Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan was reported as saying that the warm weather in Pakistan would cause the virus to disappear, but did not provide any proof to substantiate his statement.
On June 24, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA Riaz Fatyana said there is a notion that the coronavirus could be defeated by eating locusts, adding that a research should be carried out to prove the same.
“There’s a common notion about locusts that eating it could provide the best defence against the coronavirus,” Fatyana had said while addressing a parliamentary session.
According to latest statistics, the number of confirmed cases in the country stands at 220,239, while the number of recoveries is at a total of 104,694. The total number of deaths stands at 4,504 across the country. Sindh seems to be the worst hit by the virus, with the total number of cases touching the 89,225 mark.
