Ammar Ali Jan, Farooq Tariq, along with slain student Mashal Khan’s father Iqbal Lala and Alamgir Wazir, were nominated in FIR against the Students Solidarity March held on Friday last week. The FIR included charges of sedition.
The development came in the aftermath of Friday’s (29th November) Student Solidarity March which the said individuals supported and helped organise.
The march gained further attention after the disappearance of one of the organizers, Alamgir Wazir, who is also the nephew of parliamentarian Ali Wazir and an activist of the Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM), on Saturday. He was produced in court today and sent to jail on a fourteen day long judicial remand instead of a ten day long physical remand that the police had requested.
